patience , 2021, X-Pro3 Zeiss Tessar 2.8/50mm

I’m longing for spring to begin. In the meantime I seek inspiration through some old glass. Actually this is my beginner’s lens. I got it as a gift when I was twelve years old, and it came with my first real camera, an EXA 1A that once belonged to my grandfather. This lens is a Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/50mm clad in a fancy zebra-finish. See an example here. It’s pretty prone to stray light. Focus and contrast are hard to control too. But over all it’s character is really nice…
